Tony Winner Marissa Jaret Winokur & LA Favorite Ryan O’Connor Co-Host Night of New Songs!
On Monday, August 21 at 8:30pm, A Little New Music presents its 15th concert collaboration with an eclectic array of artists performing original musical theatre songs at the historic Catalina Jazz Club.
The event is co-hosted by besties Ryan O’Connor (“BIG LITTLE LIES,” “LADYWATCH” podcast) and Broadway’s Marissa Jaret Winokur (HAIRSPRAY) alongside three-time Ovation Award-winning musical director and composer, Gregory Nabours (Kennedy Center’s ASCAP: BROADWAY: TODAY AND TOMORROW) with musical accompaniment by the #ALNM band.
The concert features songs from writers Rosser & Sohne (BOY WHO DANCED ON AIR), Anna K. Jacobs (HARMONY, KANSAS), Mark Sonnenblick (MIDNIGHT AT THE NEVER GET), Rob Rokicki (MONSTERSONGS), Barnett & Homokay, and Adam J. Rineer.
With special guest writer appearances from Matt Gould (WITNESS UGANDA), Zach Spound (LEAP), Pamela Paul of Paul/Adler, and acclaimed LA-based musical comedy collective, Robot Teammate & The Accidental Party with their hit production TURBULENCE, winner of the 2017 ALNM Award for Outstanding Songwriting at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Talent from stage and screen are set to perform, including Jason Michael Snow (BOOK OF MORMON), Amber Hurst Martin (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR Nat’l Tour), Justin Michael Wilcox (La Mirada’s WEST SIDE STORY, “The Mindy Project”), Sari Rose Barron, Sittichai Chaiyahat (BOY WHO DANCED ON AIR), Marc Ginsburg (3-D Theatrical’s SPAMALOT), and Hayley Shukiar (A LITTLE ADVICE).
Plus a sneak peek of the West Coast premiere of Celebration Theatre’s season opener, THE VIEW UPSTAIRS by Max Vernon, nominated for Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Awards for its recent Off-Broadway production.
